What about buses? 

Allowing children smartphones on school buses exposes them to a range of safeguarding risks, including harmful content on another child's smartphone.

 

Every child is only as safe as the least safe device. 

 

Parents often say their children need a smartphone to get on the bus but generally it's only the QR code they need, which can be downloaded and printed-off.

- We recommend having a conversation with your bus provider to clarify their ticketing requirements - often parents think an app is required, which is rarely the case. 

​

- One major bus provider we have spoken to confirmed that discounted season tickets can be purchased through their app on any device and  fulfilled with a smart card which they will provide via post. ​

​
